Myself and my new wife had our wedding here and I can’t thank the staff enough for the amazing atmosphere they created. The food is fantastic, the views are great, very accommodating and an amazing venue. We will certainly be recommending the Petersham hotel to friends and family and we will definitely be back in the near future either for a weekend away or for a lunch/dinner. Thank you again to the entire team for making our wedding such an amazing experience!
I've visited the Petersham Hotel for afternoon tea and I had an amazing experience. Afternoon tea is English thing to do, so try it when you will be around. Highly recommend this place. It has gorgeous view to a lake where you can walk. For afternoon tea I had a variety of tea, 4 types of sandwiches, scons with nice buttery cream, and desserts. Experience was so worth it. And all of this for 40 pounds. Service was exceptional and only thing was missing is live music ????
The hotel is a little over priced and you are initially charged a large amount over the cost of your room in case you want to go to breakfast or the bar - that is incredibly presumptuous and no one asked my permission. The doors slam quite loudly and if an event is taking place noisy guests and banging doors can go on late into the night. I would certainly recommend this hotel for dinner, having done so in the past, but I would not stay again.
This was the first time I visited the Petersham for lunch. What an experience the views are amazing over Richmond Hill 360 degrees with no obstructive views. Food was top quality with an outstanding service. I will definitely go again for afternoon tea.
Booked two interconnecting rooms in the August 2021 for my wedding in April 2022. When I turned up the day before my wedding the rooms had been given away to someone else, so I was in alternative rooms and had to rejig things around. The manager was very helpful and put me in other rooms, not the end of the world. It just wasn't very professional for the price.
